ABOUT COURSE
This is the classroom portion of the MSHA Part 48A – Underground Annual Refresher Class. This class is a 8 hour class it is typically taught on Fridays via zoom. Each participant must show their face on camera for the duration of the class. This is a live class. It lasts for 8 hours. We will issue you a 5000-23 at the end of the class. This class is for those who have had a previous new miner, annual refresher or experienced miner in the last 5 years. Annual refreshers expire on the last day of the month of the month issued but not all mines recognize this and require a new annual refresher by the day it was issued the year previous. You can still take this class if you have a copy of your previous MSHA 5000-23 from the previous 5 years. If you have questions about the class please let us know via text or email us. While you may participate via any electronic device that has a camera and microphone we recommend using a large tablet or computer. We realize that not everyone has this option so if you are using your phone please put it on do not disturb for the meeting or it will kick you out when you receive a phone call.
