ABOUT COURSE
This is the classroom portion of the MSHA Part 48A – Underground Annual Refresher Class. This class is a 8 hour class. It is typically taught 5 days a week but if you need a weekend class we can do this if you have enough peole. Annual refreshers expire on the last day of the month of the month issued but not all mines recognize this and many require a new annual refresher by the day it was issued the year previous. If you have already expired you can still take this class if you have a copy of your previous MSHA 5000-23. If you have questions about the class please let us know via text or email us.
MSHA requires that each participant must show their face on camera for the duration of the class and have a working microphone in order to fully participate. This is a live class taught by an MSHA blue card holder. It lasts for 8 hours each day. We will issue you a 5000-23 the last day of the class. You will still need to complete the mine tour at the mine site. If you have questions about the class or which class you need please let us know. While you may participate via any electronic device that has a camera and microphone we recommend using a large tablet or computer. We realize that not everyone has this option so if you are using your phone please put it on do not disturb for the meeting or it will kick you out when you receive a phone call. If you are unsure of which class you need to take just call us and we will help you figure it out.
